Happy New Year 2011!

I was thankful to get away this Christmas to Colorado and New Mexico to visit my near and dears, and take a little break before this busy season before us begins !

The New Year arrived quicker than the rabbit that is going to be this year's Chinese animal. But that's not till February 3rd !
We are moving fast in our new location, with a variety of artist demonstrations and shows jumping out of our hat !
Our very own Chinese astrological themed sculptor will be on deck this Saturday the 8th of January from 11-3 to demonstrate her technique in clay, of a bronze sculpture. If you are out and about come by and meet
Pokey Park. You might have noticed her pieces on the corner of Skyline and Campbell. Those two tall totems are all made up of these mystical "southwest versions" of the chinese icons. The 9ft Shaman in the middle also has her whimsical look at life through birds and other creatures.
Also, in the patio courtyard of Plaza Colonial "Leo" is taking a snooze….

Fred Wackerle is our 4th artist in the popular ART WINE MONDAY series that we have begun with Tavolino’s Ristoriante in Plaza Colonial. This next Monday January 10th Fred will present his new oil works on paper from 5:30-7pm in the private dining room. A featured Italian winery will host a tasting, and gourmet hors d'ouerves complete a fun evening out. Fred and I both will be there to meet and greet. There is a $10.00 charge for this event, paid at the door of Tavoilino’s.

And on Friday January 21st 2011 "Arizona Treasures" a one man show by Arizona's premiere oil on palette artist,
Charles Pabst will have its reception. For over 40 years Chuck has manned his canvas creating a wide range of subjects from traditional landscapes to impressionistic cityscapes and including abstracted florals. He will be in attendance to meet his collectors old and new.

I hope you all a blessed New Year full of excitement and adventure ! And that I get to meet some of you who visit my website, read my blog or
Facebook this year.
