The Last Rose of Summer
Jane Hamilton Fine
Art presents “The Last Rose of
Summer,” a retrospective in honor
of Rose
Johnson, an influential Arizona
artist. The retrospective will be held at
La Paloma resort in Tucson, AZ on October 2,
2010, from 12pm-8pm, with a reception from
5pm-8pm.
This is a special event, for which many collectors and galleries are gathering, and bringing their Rose Johnson paintings together to celebrate Rose's extensive body of work, and her life as an artist.
If you own a Rose Johnson painting, we might be interested in featuring your Rose Johnson masterpiece in "The Last Rose of Summer." For this exhibit, we will primarily be featuring Rose's uplifting, vibrant and playful paintings, because they most accurately represent her overall style and perspective.
If you are interested in learning more about this wonderful event, or sharing one of your Rose Johnson paintings for the exhibit, please email Jane Hamilton Fine Art at janehamiltonfineart@comcast.net, and attach a photo of your painting, as well as the title and size.

Now Showing, Artist Bill Moomey!
Jane Hamilton Fine Art is proud to now represent
artist, Bill Moomey.
A painter and sculptor of animals living in the Southwest and Africa including horses, monkeys, giraffes and coyotes, Bill Moomey works in a style ranging from realism to contemporary impressionism and lets the subject determine the style. He says, "the more intense the subject becomes, the bigger the brushes and the broader the strokes." He is very committed to the fundamentals of drawing and composition and laments the modern-day lack of educational emphasis on those subjects.
His specialty is horses, which is a challenge because he wants his work to be anatomically correct. Some of his pieces are very large scale such as Threatened, a 9-foot bronze sculpture, which is intended to convey the power and determination of the subject, a gorilla, and which will have a place at the Milwaukee Zoo.
